The Ball Religion

inspired by Jackson

Brief Description
The Ball Religion (to be refered to as BR) refers to the general worship of balls, especially blue-and-yellow balls, commonly known as the canoe polo ball.

The belief in detail
Like all gods, The Ball would usually be given lots of space. Believers believe that the BR god (ie. the ball) is sacred, and that unholy palms should avoid touching it, unless necessary.

Believers also believe that keeping the BR god for extended period of time is a crime. They believe that their god is for the community. And thus BR believers would attempt to divert their god to another individual almost immediately upon the god's visit.

While believers try to maintain their distance with their god, they believe that it is extremely sinful to leave the BR god unattended to. Attempts may be made to bring the god to his/her possession. However believer would be happier to have someone else to house the formidable god.

When bringing in the god, believers do it with the most gentle manner. When the god is within handreach, believers are likely to molest it, testing for its intentions. When the god is out of handreach believers are likely to tap it with the paddle. In all circumstances, believers would be more than happy if someone else would intercept and steal their god. At this point, we must understand the BR god is extremely temperamental, and believers would not want to have their god when he is in his less-than-sunny mood.

A believer's privilages
A believer to BR would be granted with the ability to maintain minimal blisters, callous, and injuries in general. Moreover, believers would be free from attacks, such as hand-tackle, illegal paddle, or dangerous paddle. Believers usually live through a simple, danger-free life.

Dangers and tradeoffs
Tempting as BR sounds, believers would usually be subjected to boredom, and in extremely circumstances, shoutings from "the higher being".
Moreover, the BR god is a very jealous god. By believing in BR, one has to give up his/her other beliefs such that BR is the only religion he/she believes in and practises.

To take up the Ball-Religion or not, the decision lies in you.
